Featuring an annealed bell and body, the 62 series baritone's metal has the ideal density for balanced resistance and particularly accurate intonation to produce the finest quality of tone and a comfortable response. Also, unique to Yamaha baritones, is the three-vent octave mechanism that eliminates fuzziness and muted tones when playing G, G#, and A with the octave key. Then, to extract the most out of its advanced capabilities, Yamaha implements organic ergonomics with the keys not simply shaped and positioned according to mechanical necessity; the entire system is designed from the player's perspective, emphasizing comfort, speed, and overall playability. The natural feel of the keys eliminates the need to adapt to an awkward or uncomfortable key layout and frees the musician to unleash creative impulses.
The professional, ribbed YBS-62 features drawn tone holes, blue steel springs, leather and wool pads, ribbed and flanged post mountings, and is annealed, providing a rock solid low A. This complete retail kit comes with a Yamaha ebony 5C baritone mouthpiece, ligature, deluxe wheeled case, neck strap, cork grease, and polishing cloth.
